Fun Story of the Day

You would think OJ Simpson would have learned his lesson after he was found innocent of double murder charges, in what many called the ‘trial of the century’, back in 1995. But no, when he was convicted of multiple felonies in 2008, he DID NOT wear the luckiest suit on earth.

OJ and the suit on the day he was acquitted. Rumor has it his
book, If I Did It, was originally dedicated to this very suit. And
yes, OJ’s book is really entitled If I Did It.

Now we find out it he didn’t even have it to begin with because the suit was stuck in a suit of his own! (Look out folks, the puns are a comin’) A 13 year old lawsuit, filed by Ron Goldman’s father against Simpson and his sports agent over the beige wonder, finally ended last week when all parties agreed to donate it to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

But of course no one told the Smithsonian… Awkward.

Naturally the institution didn’t see the historical value: Rejected! So I guess those 13 years were well spent. Even crazier: this suit was part of the memorabilia that Simpson was trying to steal back in 2007 when he got arrested.
